Red Wine, Rock Lake Red, Columbia Valley
A pioneer of Washington State agriculture, Chief Kamiak of the Yakama Nation initiated irrigation of Washington's now famous Columbia Valley winegrowing region in the mid-1800s. Thanks in large part to Chief Kamiak's devotion to nurture the land of his people, today the Columbia Valley is one of Washington's most vibrant and bountiful agricultural areas, producing many of the state's most complex and beautiful wines. Named Rock Lake Red to honor the area near Rock Lake, Washington, where Kamiak was buried in 1877, our proprietary red wine is an elegant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah showcasing the exceptional quality and value that makes Kamiak wines special. Still found in many of the areas where our Kamiak grapes are grown, the Native American petroglyph on our labels is a tribute to the rich history of Columbia Va
