Microwave Directions: Combine 2 1/2 cups of water (20 oz.), rice packet and 2 tablespoons of margarine, butter or corn oil. Stir. Cover microwave on high (full powder) for 5 minutes. Reduce to medium power (50%) and microwave for 15 minutes or until all the water is absorbed. Times given may vary per microwave. Stove Top Directions: In a medium saucepan, bring 2 1/2 cups of water (20 oz.) to a boil. Add rice packet and 2 tablespoons of margarine, butter or corn oil. Stir. Boil 1 minute, cover tightly, and reduce to low. Cook for 25 minutes (until water is absorbed). Remove lid, fluff up rice with fork. Makes about 3 1/2 (1 cup) servings, or 7 (1/2 cup) side dish servings.
