Directions
Boil: Cooking Directions on the Stove
1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil.*
2. Stir in rice.**
3. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until all water is absorbed.
*Cooking Measurement Chart
For drier rice, use 1/4 cup less water. For moister rice, use 1/4 cup more water.
Use 1 cup of rice, 2 cups of water and 3 cups yield to make 4 servings.
Use 2 cups of rice, 4 cups of water and 6 cups yield to make 8 servings.
Use the entire package of rice, 5 cups of water and yield 71/2 cups to make 10 servings.
Servings are 3/4 cup cooked rice.
**Add 1 Tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired. Microwave: Cooking Directions in the Microwave***
1. In a 2 quart microwave-safe dish, combine 2 cups water and 1 cup rice.**
2. Cover and microwave on High for 5 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power; microwave for 15 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes.
