You Will Need: 4 pounds boneless pork shoulder. 2 tbsp oil. 1 pouch Simply Organic Carnitas Slow Cook Sauce. Stove-Top Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. 2. Heat oil in a 4-quart Dutch oven over high sides. Stir in slow cook sauce and 1-1/2 cups of water. Cover tightly; put in oven. 3. Bake until fork tender, 2 to 2-1/2 hours. 4. Skim fat from pan juice. Use fork to pull meat into shreds; season with salt to taste. Slow Cooker Directions: 1. Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add pork; cook until browned on all sides. 2. Place pork, slow cook until browned on all sides. 3. Cover tightly, slow cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, until meat is for tender. 4. Use a fork to pull meat to shreds; season with salt to taste. Chef Suggests: If desired, serve in warm tortillas with cilantro and a squeeze of lime. For authentically crisp and juicy carnitas, cut pork in 1-1/2 inch chunks before browning. Do not microwave.
