Fire up the flavor! Make summer sizzle with beef.

Whether steaks or burgers, charcoal or gas, follow these tips for beef grilling success.

For steaks:

  1. Marinate tender beef cuts for 15 minutes to 2 hours for flavor; marinate less tender cuts for 6 hours, but not more than 25 hours.
  2. Avoid cutting into steak to see if it's done. Use a meat thermometer to determine doneness.
  3. Once off the grill, let beef rest for juicy, flavorful results.
  4. Cut across the grain to maximize tenderness.

For burgers:

  1. Form patty slightly larger than bun.
  2. Put an indentation in the center of your patty.
  3. Wait until the burger releases from the grill and only flip once.
  4. Set a meat thermometer to cook your burger to an internal temperature of 160F.
